This dish came out great but I am giving it just four stars because information technology'south 1 of those that everybody changes to his own liking. The basic thought, Tilapia with Former Bay Spice is a keen one, though. For my dinner, I melted about 3 tbs of butter and added lots more of Old Bay along with some lemon juice, which I drizzled over the fish. Then I topped the fish with freshly chopped garlic, scallions and ground pepper. Before serving, I poured the resulting sauce from the pan over the fish and rice - this came out really really nicely!

Very skilful recipe! I layered my 9x13 w/ some uncooked white rice & cream of mushroom soup, and cooked the fish on tiptop. Also added breadstuff crumbs -- made it a little crunchy. Great gustation, really fast to make and extremely easy!

Wonderfully piece of cake recipe with very nice results! I would like to give it a 4.five-star rating. I recommend ii changes to the recipe: 1. instead of lemon slices, drizzle freshly-squeezed lemon juice over the fish (and over your choice of fresh or frozen vegetables); ii. add together an additonal spice/herb to the Old Bay and garlic common salt, in club to zip upwards the season...which otherwise volition be on the bland side. I volition make this dish again, and add paprika. Tilapia is a delightful fish: versatile, affordable, and delicious. This is a great recipe to get more seafood into your nutrition without fuss. Information technology is also a lean and healthy recipe.

I usually can't stand up the sight or aroma of fish, allow alone the taste. However, my girlfriend loves information technology. I decided to surprise her because she has e'er said that if I were to cook fish that it would taste meliorate than in restaurants. Well, I had no clue how to start, and then I used this recipe as a base and it was amazing. The differences I made were that I added lime juice instead of lemon slices, and that I added garlic powder, table salt, black pepper, cayun, and a little bit of bread crumbs. I then served it with garlic mashed potatoes and wild rice. This recipe is now my favorite and easiest to make.

Very easy, flavorful, and cost-friendly! This would be a good dish for someone who is either new to eating fish, or is not usually a fish lover, equally tilapia is very mild. For those of us who love fish, it'southward very good. I took suggestions from other reviews and fabricated the following small changes: used frozen merely slightly thawed fish and veggies, coated the fish with just a little olive oil and butter, added fresh garlic, and used recommended spices liberally and added a couple of other spices every bit well. Lastly, I sprinkled bread crumbs on the fish for the last x minutes of cooking, and left the dish uncovered for that length of time as well. Very tasty.

For all those who have a giant spice cabinet, just not the Quondam bay seasoning, hither are the ingredients in Old Bay Seasoning: Celery Table salt, Basis Mustard, Red Pepper, Black Pepper, Bay Leaves, Cloves, Allspice, Ginger, Mace, Cardamom, Cinnamon, and Paprika. Just a fiddling compression of each and voila you dont accept to go to the store to purchase something special :)!

I'd strongly recommend thawing the frozen vegetables before blistering. I did not practice this, and I has to add almost fifteen minutes to the cooking time. Even then, the fish, while done, was merely barely warm. I still tasted neat, though.

Liberal use of spices is definitely key. I also used Smart Balance spray, instead of butter and it worked well. My frozen vegetable of choice was a 16 oz purse of broccoli stir fry. Semi-thawing of the frozen vegetable should speed upwards the process every bit information technology took 45 minutes, rather than 30 to fully heat through the vegetables. I put the vegetables on top of the fish, then sprinkled vegetables with spray butter and all the spices noted on the recipe and by others. I toasted leftover french breadstuff and crumbled it on top, spraying all again with the spray butter. I took the encompass off the dish the last 15 minutes of cooking fourth dimension to crisp up the fish a bit. My husband said it was "delicious". Without the added spicing and spray butter, it would exist more bland than I would adopt. Overall, the dish is easy to prepare.

I've used this recipe for virtually 2 years and it'south always a satisfying, low fat repast yous tin experience good about serving. It'due south very versatile - as other reviews have indicated. Y'all tin can use fresh veggies or frozen (thaw get-go). When you cover it, the wet from the veggies "steams" the fish so be sure to uncover about half way through cooking and permit the wet out a niggling. I spray the pan with pan spray, adjust my fish, sprinkle on some lemon juice (not too much), the old bay (or whatever seasoning blend I want to substitute). I omit the butter. I use garlic powder vice garlic salt to lower the sodium content - old bay has enough table salt. I also put some lemon juice over the veggies for some added flavor. I top the fish with Panko (japanese bread crumbs) about 1/3 - i/2 loving cup mixed with some paprika (i/2 tsp), ane/8 tsp. pepper and 2 T. grated Parmesan Cheese. Melt as directed. This is a nifty recipe.

Tilapia is an splendid choice for people who don't bask seafood. Mild, adaptable, healthy. The recipe as written is balmy and can exist adjusted to each person'south taste buds quite easily. Hubby likes mild and my son and I lean towards spicy then information technology was a perfect choice for us as each filet was customized to our individual preferences.

This was delicious and I'll be making it over again for certain - quick, easy and even healthy! I made this recipe slightly different than the instructions, using what I had on paw. I did non have whatsoever frozen vegetables of whatever kind so I decided to lay the fish on a bed of rice. I sprayed a pan with cooking spray, and then spread 1 cup of rice (not minute rice) into bottom of baking dish, and added i and i/4 cups water. I laid the withal frozen tilapia fillets on superlative of the rice and seasoned per the instructions, going heavy equally suggested by near of the reviews I read. I did non accept any fresh lemon so I added a substantial amount of lemon pepper seasoning instead. Covered with foil and baked at 375 for 30-40 minutes and it came out corking! Rice and fish cooked to perfection! The But thing I would have washed differently is to take added more than butter and seasonings to the rice itself, it was good just could take used more flavor. Thanks for such a keen base recipe!
02/08/2011
I fabricated this today and it turned out great. I did sub the Old Bay seasoning for Cajun and instead of a lemon I used a lime. My picky eater loved it! I'll make this once more =)
09/29/2005
Wow ~ 4 1/2 stars fabricated me desire to try this recipe for Piece of cake Baked Tilapia, only to exist totally honest, I followed the directions to a "T" and I thought the fish turned out dry with very fiddling flavor...not a good combination.
03/15/2011
Recipe was pretty basic. To cut down on the sodium I didn't add together the garlic salt, instead I added garlic powder. The former Bay has enough salt. I sprinkled pepper. Used the lemon piece and added a slice of orange. To salvage on dishes, I fabricated foil pouches and placed on a cookie sail. Y'all tin likewise make this on your grill without the cookie canvas. I didn't make the veggies, Fabricated a salad instead and wild rice.
06/20/2011
I dearest this easy recipe! Information technology was a lot tastier than I expected and neat for the low fat diet my Doctor has me on. Will definately be making oft!
03/25/2011
I did not accept Old Bay Seasoning, then used salt, lemon pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Otherwise did everything per directions. It was incredibly tasty and satisfying. The veggies were yummy with a mild taste of the lemon. Served with rice with sauteed onions, dark-green, yellowish, and ruby peppers. It fabricated for a beautiful, colorful plate.
05/24/2011
I grilled mine on the George Foreman grill. I used the same ingredients but since it wasn't going in the oven I melted butter and olive oil on a plate, rubbed the filets in it, sprinkled information technology with lemon juice - so used all the other seasonings - turned out swell! Served with steamed dark-green beans and garlic bread.

I absolutely loved this recipe even though I'm definitly non a fish eater. I took the advise of others by running hot water over the frozen veggies before baking. They would never have cooked through without defrosting starting time. I also added parmesan cheese and seasoned breadstuff crumbs per other reviews...slap-up addition. What made it for me is instead of butter I used sesame oil to glaze the pan and drizzled some over filet. I didn't have any Sometime Bay, so I substituted season salt and instead of lemon I used fresh lemon thyme sprinkled over the fish. Later on blistering 15 min I added the cheese and staff of life crumbs then drizzled a piffling more than sesame oil over information technology and baked uncovered the additional 10 minutes. I will definitely be calculation tilapia to my meals in the time to come...quick, inexpensive and tasty.
08/26/2010
I was skeptical at first because I don't like the taste of frozen tilapia, and this seemed too plainly to mask the fishiness... but boy was I wrong. I beloved this fish. It is tasty, economic, and quick & easy enough for a weeknight. Yum!!
10/28/2009
This is a WEEKLY staple in our home! Information technology'southward the Easiest and Healhiest fish I have ever made that my family LOVES. I once forgot the lemon slices and my son was quickly disappointed! I don't deviate much from the recipe, information technology'southward piece of cake! I go light on the butter and take switched upward my veggie choices. I've added many dissimilar frozen selections from my local grocers freezer to "change" our good for you meal. I've even added fresh veggies half-way into our baking time. Thank yous for this wonderful, healthy repast!
03/15/2011
Line the fish with cubed potatoes instead of vegetables. Be sure the cubes are small,,,,to ensure beingness cooked in 30 minutes.
02/eleven/2009
THIS IS THE All-time FISH THAT I HAVE Ever EATEN/MADE. RESTUARANT QUALITY! Line pan w/ foil. Put fish on pan and sprinkle lightly due west/ salt and pepper. Add frozen cali and brocolli around fish w/ salt and pepper. Melt butter (LOTS), add one whole lemon squeezed, lots of fresh garlic, old bay, garlic powder, onion pulverization, seasoning salt, parsley and pepper. Pour sauce over fish and veggies. Bake 20 mts. covered. Uncover the fish during the concluding ten mts and add breadcrumbs w/ parm cheese over fish. Goes nifty due west/ rice. Spoon sauce over rice. Yummy!
03/07/2011
super like shooting fish in a barrel and yummy!!! I did soak the fish in milk for 20 min. as well had to use lemon pepper seasoning because I did not have lemons.
04/21/2011
good stuff.. used seasoning for rice and information technology was neat (if you like Tilapia)
01/30/2013
I love this recipe & make information technology all the time. I utilise merely plain frozen broccoli, & sometimes add together in some cutting upwardly potatoes as well. It all goes bang-up with the seasoning mix. I add a lilliputian borsari citrus seasoning table salt on top of everything & squeeze lemon juice on pinnacle rather than using lemon slices. I also rub fresh chopped garlic onto the fish rather than using garlic powder because I think the taste is a little nicer.
03/08/2011
Fabricated this tonight. Love the simplicity! Didn't accept lemons or lemon juice :( so I used a few dashes of lemon pepper and followed the recipe as stated (well-minus the veggies-didn't have those either). Fabulous! Everyone wanted to lick their plate :)
03/fifteen/2011
A very expert meal. My family unit enjoyed it. I used fresh veggies and a bit more than lemon.
09/07/2011
I'thousand okay with Erstwhile Bay seasoning, garlic, salt & lemon; simply this didn't do it for me. It tasted liked broiled fish with the above ingredients. 'Needed more than flavors to be good. Very identifiable with the taste.
10/10/2009
I used lemon juice instead of lemons and blackened seasoning instead of quondam bay seasoning. I did not use the vegetables.
01/17/2008
Very very good! It was so easy. I added 1/iv tsp more of Quondam Bay and sprinkled some paprika on also. And instead of butter I used extra virgin olive oil. Besides I put tin foil down in the pan first, makes clean upward a breeze.
02/26/2011
This is very good. I've made it probably a half dozen times now. and I've changed it upwardly since. I have always used 1/2 tsp of Old Bay, I've done the garlic powder/onion powder combo(was ok), I've as well used ane/4 tsp of rosemary garlic from the grinder by Spice Island seasonings(awesome). Also, instead of EVOO, I utilise ane/4 cup white cooking wine.
08/17/2009
great recipe. easy to make. instead of butter i used olive oil, added garlic salt and left out the veggies
04/03/2007
Turned out peachy and was very like shooting fish in a barrel. I also did some extra Tilapia on my George Forman Grill with Lemon Pepper and it was better and much faster.
03/22/2011
Turned out perfect! I but cooked the fish alone, I used olive oil instead of butter, normally I don't like fish but this was simple, like shooting fish in a barrel, and tasty! My husband and picky kids loved information technology, thank yous:-)
01/11/2006
Tilapia is a light & delicious fish. It cooked wonderfully in this recipe. I made only a few changes, similar sprinkling the lemon juice over the fish, and used fresh veggies w/a touch of olive oil, S&P, red onion, mushrooms, celery & broccoli. Dandy calorie-free repast.
03/27/2008
If I could give this a meg stars, I would. I used frozen tilapia and frozen veggies and just added an actress seven minutes. The only substitution I fabricated was using Tony's creole seasoning instead of Old Bay considering it was all I had on hand. It was perfect! So the adjacent night I decided to endeavour the same recipe with craven breasts. Again, I used frozen chicken and a unlike mix of frozen vegetables. I baked information technology at 350 for 50 minutes and it was the best chicken I've ever had in my life. Thank y'all so much for this recipe... Information technology's and then easy and versatile.. definitely a keeper!
03/22/2011
Great style to melt Tilapia! It tasted so adept and was so healty. Instead of using any butter I used cooking spray but otherwise followed everything else! Even my two year old asked for more fish and veggies!
08/xviii/2005
So easy! Tilapia is very balmy and this recipe really infuses it with garlic and lemon flavor. The veggies actually choice up the flavor besides. Super inexpensive to brand and very flavorul and healthy. Fresh minced garlic makes a big difference and I recommend drizzling some lemon juice over the fish and veggies. This dish has become a frequent favorite in my dwelling. Photo available on my profile page.
06/01/2009
Quick & Easy wow what a fast meal! I will make once more
04/21/2008
The prep was extremely easy, just it took me a lot longer to bake the tilapia until information technology was prophylactic to swallow. I concluded up uncovering it subsequently 25 minutes, cranked the oven upwards to 400 to try and speed upwards the procedure (we were hungry!), and broiled at the end. The flavour was skillful, but I think next time we'll try a different cooking method.
02/07/2012
Simple and delicious...will be making this again and again.
10/07/2010
This was great. I'one thousand non a fish eater by whatsoever ways, simply heard Tilapia was pretty mild. Bully season and piece of cake.
03/28/2011
2nd time making it since a month agone finding this recipe. 1st fourth dimension I fabricated every bit directed minus lemons or lemon juice. Instant hit! Last night I made information technology without the veggies and sprinkled old bay a bit more liberally with butter sprinkled all over. Then I made Landry's ponchertrain sauce with pan seared scallops. Chopped some of scallops and mixed with sauce, laddled ontop of fish and topped it with the remaining scallops. Beautiful dinner. This simple tilapia dish will get a regular bill of fare that allows so many different ways of presenting itself.
01/04/2007
I really don't care for fish, but this recipe is awesome!! I squeezed lemon juice on the fish and veggies. I also sprinkled some cayenne pepper, flavor-all, blackened former bay seasoning, and paprika on the fish. I only used broccoli and sprinkled that with s&p. I thought it was astonishing, kids loved it too!! You tin can spice this upwardly with anything y'all have in your spice cabinet, use your fave seasonings so the fish will exist to your liking.
02/09/2009
The wide range of the reviews from one star to five stars supports the Latin saying: De gustibus non est disputandum (Concerning tastes, there is no dispute.). Although the sale of tilapia has increased in recent years, some relate that to the lower price of tilapia compared to the much more prized and expensive fresh ahi/ yellow-fin tuna and flounder/ sole. For tilapa-based recipes that are not bland, it is necessary to use sufficient spices. For those who wish to melt tilapia, this easy broiled tilapia recipe may require several trials to determine the optimal amount of spices to suit one's taste. Personally, in the future I shall not purchase tilapia .
01/06/2010
Easy to make and tasted smashing! Adjustments: Enough Old Bay Seasoning to cover the 4 Tilapia fillets, Garlic Powder (no garlic table salt in cabinet), juiced with one-half lemon and covered with i sliced lemon, added 1tbspn fresh chopped cilantro and ii cloves of garlic chopped. Baked 375 for 30mins covered. Served with Brown Rice and Baked Sweet Potato. First-class! Will make again!!
03/20/2011
So elementary and soooo good!! My kids were fighting over the leftovers :)
03/24/2011
It was great. I used Lemon White Wine instead of sliced lemon.
02/09/2009
Made this mostly as written. I didn't have garlic table salt and wasn't sure if information technology was garlic "salt" or "powder" that was "really" called for... since regular salt was another spice... and so I used seasoned common salt plus garlic powder and the old bay. I had a pocketbook of California Mix veggies... cauliflower, broccoli and carrots...that was the all-time I could exercise without making another trip to the store, distressing! The dish was very pretty going into and coming out of the oven... and smelled succulent cooking. Next time, I think I would go heavier on the spices as it seemed a little bland to me. That beingness said, the husband and kids gobbled it up... and in that location is one piece of fish plus veggies left for his luncheon tomorrow. I would be happy to get in over again! Oh-- and one of the reviews said to defrost the veggies first... I did a partial defrost... just put the bag of veggies into the fridge for about 3 hours prior to cooking... and that took enough of the iciness off. Good thought!
03/18/2013
Very good! Simple and can be modified to your liking.
06/ten/2011
Boy, talk near easy fish recipes! this is easier than shopping for protein!
12/12/2011
I threw this together with some lightly sauteed brussels sprouts and mushrooms instead of frozen veggies. Popped it in the oven and surfed the web while it broiled. When I served information technology, my husband crowed "How fancy!" (we're poor newlyweds), and information technology was really succulent.
03/03/2013
Delicious. I did cut the garlic common salt in one-half (1/4 tsp.) and added ane/4 tsp. garlic pulverisation (seemed like the fish might be too salty west/ that much garlic salt). I doubled the Old Bay, simply only because I ran out every bit I was sprinkling onto the fish and needed to add more than to encompass everything. I roasted the broccoli & cauliflower separately in some EVOO, Old Bay, garlic pulverization, and croaky black pepper. Baked both at 400, veggies for 20 minutes, fish for 25. This was probably the easiest meal that I've ever prepared. Served with Knorr Herb & Butter rice. The whole repast was less than 500 calories! Don't skip the lemon slices; I think they really add together to the flavor. And don't substitute lemon juice! Real lemon slices are cardinal!
03/07/2011
Delicious, lite and and then easy! The whole family at it!!
10/25/2010
I roughshod in beloved with this recipe.
03/03/2009
Ridiculously easy and super delicious! I always add some lemon pepper likewise!
08/10/2010
Very piece of cake, very flavorful, very practiced dish. I followed directions exactly (except omitted the frozen veggies and opted for a rice pilaf for the side). Came out great!
02/10/2010
Yum. I had a request for "just baked fish" and constitute this recipe, it was wonderful. I normally season my fish with seasoned salt, pepper and dill but seasoned every bit specified (well plus dill, I simply think it's Made for fish): this too was a nice simple combination which I volition use once again and in other fish recipes. No issues with the cook fourth dimension. The lemon broiled in was nice, seemed to blend into the fish more than just juicing one over the top. Thanks very much for submitting.
03/22/2004
The kids wouldn't eat information technology, and i ate very little, and will never eat it again.
03/11/2011
this is a biweekly staple in our house the whole fam loves it!! it is so easy to make!!! we brand it with any fresh vegis nosotros have on manus. information technology always looks so pretty also! and it is cheap!!!AND HEALTHY!! Beloved IT!!
04/01/2013
Definitely an crawly and piece of cake weeknight repast. Utilise prepacked frozen tilapia filets and y'all're good to go! Besides, Old Bay isn't the merely seasoning you can use. I used Everglades All Purpose Seasoning (aka Monkey Dust for y'all Floridians out there) and it was very tasty. I might try manifestly old Adobo seasoning side by side time. Still, this one'due south a keeper!
04/nineteen/2011
Five stars for being the best combination: easy, few ingredients, and delicious! I actually wasn't expecting it to be as succulent equally it was because of the simplicity of the recipe. I proceed trying fish recipes and there are but ii that I've really liked plenty to brand once again, and this is i of them! Volition become a regular part of my menus.
09/20/2008
Non and then great in my opinion. I think the fish would benefit from being baked in an open container. The water from the frozen veggies didn't help it at all.
x/xix/2011
too manifestly
03/xix/2011
I of the best meals I have e'er made. My first fourth dimension making tilapia will not be my terminal!
08/xix/2010
DEEEEEEEEEEEELISH!!! Love this recipe!! My picky daughter fifty-fifty got seconds!! Perfectly seasoned!! Volition ALWAYS make tilapia this fashion!!
11/21/2010
Very easy and great flavor. I similar that the fish and veggies are done in one pan, easy make clean-up. Will make again
03/17/2011
This was then So Easy and And then DELICIOUS! The fish was moist and tender and the onetime bay was yummy! I did non cook information technology with veggies and I just cooked 2 fillets for twenty mins. Thanks so much!
02/23/2011
fish texture was great, simply needs more flavor
x/26/2006
This was very good. I used the Italian veggies instead. They could accept been a fleck more flavorful, simply everyone liked this very much.
02/01/2009
This was overnice and easy--a elementary meal to calibration when cooking for 1! I made two fillets and even so used a whole bag of stir fry veggies. I had a proficient dinner and the perfect sized luncheon for the adjacent twenty-four hours.
03/18/2011
Excellent and easy. Mix and match your ain herbs. I used garlic 'n herbs, some seasoned salt and stale parsley and mixed information technology with nearly 1.5 tablespoons of butter. Melted it all and poured information technology over the fish. Added lemon slices, covered the dish and tinfoil and baked for 25 minutes. Sprinkled with shredded parmesean when information technology was done! YUM!!
04/07/2011
This turned out very average for me. Fine, nothing special. I used frozen tilapia, but other reviewers who liked information technology much more than than I did, equally well...this had no flavor. REALLY wanted to like information technology, but unfortunately, just non impressed at all.
02/09/2007
The recipe was very elementary to brand and was very delicious. My kids ate it all upwards.
01/04/2008
YUM ! Very good, and very easy. Like a previous affiche, I likewise squeezed fresh lemon juice on mine. I used a small lemon and sliced on one-half for slices on top of the fish, then squeezed the juice from the other half over the whole dish. I'chiliad making information technology again tonight (second time in 1 week) but this fourth dimension will go a little heavier with the Erstwhile Bay and common salt.
04/10/2010
Delicious. Used fresh zucchini, squash, bell peppers and jalapenos. threw in a few water ice cubes to help steam the veggies while it baked. Dad and BF loved it.
12/05/2006
This was my showtime fourth dimension making and eating tilapia- this recipe was easy and great for a beginner similar myself. I remember it needed a little more flavor and seasoning though.
01/29/2007
I have fabricated this and so many times, I cannot believe I take not rated information technology until now. Mine ever takes x-xv minutes longer to bake. I just use whatever frozen veggies I take in the freezer, and await until those are cooked to brand sure it is done. I normally make a side dish of brown rice to get with. Very easy and skillful for a mid week meal.
12/05/2006
I didn't consume this, merely my married man said the fish tasted good, just subsequently cooking information technology about twice equally long as it said it would need to exist cooked information technology was finally washed. He said the vegetables weren't very good. Too lemony. I, too, squeezed the lemon juice on the vegetables. My viii year quondam said the fish was amend with more pepper. I would cook the vegetables seperately adjacent time because they liked the fish lonely.
03/07/2011
Delicious and Easy. The fresh lemon slices are a central ingredient!!
11/19/2007
This was a very easy and fun recipe to set. This was my first time baking fish, and so knowing that information technology came out expert is very encouraging. Thanks for the recipe!
09/28/2005
Super easy, super quick, fantastic taste! My husband loved it and my immature kids ate their full portion without complaint. We will be eating this almost once a calendar week for sure. (I omitted the garlic salt just because the Old Bay seasoning I take is the "garlic and herb" variety.) Thanks for this fourth dimension-saving, succulent recipe!
07/xviii/2007
I am not a large fish eater, love shell fish, but generally non fish fish. Anyway, bought some Tilapia and my husband told me that it isn't adept fish. I decided to find a recipe and find out for myself. I made this dish the other night and he ate it and told me that it was fabulous! So, thanks for the recipe! I even passed it along on my blog to my friends.
04/24/2011
This was a overnice surprise! I was looking for a fast, simple recipe for tilapia that would go with pasta and leftover alfredo sauce. I assumed since this looked so good for you it wouldn't have much flavor but I gave it a try and I was incorrect. It was very skilful and went well with the pasta. My son who was home from college had information technology for dinner AND breakfast the next morning!!
08/21/2011
I have really been making a recipe like this for years...got it from Red Lobster website...fish in a bag...minus the garlic salt....i revised it ...i steam my veggies prior ( i do carrots and potatoes-use any veggies you like)cuz i similar them tender and i apply i deceit believe its not butter no calorie spray butter and spray the fish and veggies with that. I likewise put the old bay seasoning on the veggies too and sometimes take no fresh lemon so i just use a few drops of lemon reconstituted juice(the little container shapped like a lemon)
04/xi/2008
Wow, that was amazing! I used only items I had, fresh broccoli, green beans and baby carrots which I positioned around the fish (not over the fish) as per suggestions. I used garlic salt, blackness pepper, paprika as per suggestions, I also added parmesan cheese and fresh parsley in the concluding 5 minutes. I didn't have Old bay seasoning or lemons and information technology was the nearly amazing fish dish I've ever had! WOW! Piece of cake to make, one dish to wash, awesome all the way around. Give thanks yous for this great recipe!
08/17/2010
i did not use butter, i just sprayed a glass pan with pam. I too added thyme before putting on the lemons. This was sooooo skilful and soooooo easy. Also, I cooked my for 25 min and information technology was perfect.
08/26/2005
This was very dry and bland. It was crunchy, only aught season. I would add different spices or seasoning, or something to provide a little moisture. With the corn meal in in that location, I would add mayhap some hot sauce or mexican type seasonings, maybe even a packet of taco or fajita seasoning to the dry mix and serve information technology on top of a pico de gallo with blackness beans mixed in information technology. Or maybe use the dry mix but add together Sometime Bay seasoning to it and accept information technology with tartar sauce. It needs something.
03/21/2005
I was really surprised how good this is--I was worried that the vegetables would taste similar fish, simply they didn't. I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt, and I put some butter chunks on the vegetables, too. I served it with brownish rice and Irresistible Soda Breadstuff.
ten/14/2011
Friday dinner is fish dark and this is what I cooked tonight. My husband loved it and said "really skillful". Though I did some modifications and didn't use measurements. I just mixed melted butter with lemon juice, old bay seasoning, garlic and onion powder. Poured into tilapia wrapped in each foil packets. Broiled information technology for fifteen-20minutes. I also added parmesan cheese a few minutes before its washed. Really tasty!
09/02/2011
Very quick and Very easy. I'm glad I read alot of reviews beginning. I used sliced lemons and lemon juice, garlic and onion pulverization, and heavy with the old bay. The only matter that was an outcome was it wasn't washed in 30 minutes. I'm not a fan of lemon & that's all I could sense of taste of the fish. The veg was a different idea & we loved it(I used broccoli, partially thawed). Hubby & daughter liked it very much.

Great flavor and very salubrious. I used olive oil instead of the butter. Too added onion pulverisation, whole wheat staff of life crumbs and parmesan to the topping. I as well used fresh broccoli and cauliflower and just briefly steamed it before baking. Served with rice. Succulent.

This was my offset time using Quondam Bay seasoning (I had a sample packet). With the garlic table salt added, this was way As well salty. Plus with the lemon juice and the vegetables, my fish was slightly soggy.
